We grow with our customers
In the morning our development chemist meets one of the application engineers to talk about inking rollers. He comes straight from a press manufacturer and brings the requirements of the next generation of broader printing presses directly into our development group. This afternoon the subject might be a UV printer’s specific requirements with regard to the fountain solution.
From all around the globe, Böttcher’s over 80 R & D associates are fed with information. We are development partners of the large printing press manufacturers. We test each new generation of inks for possible chemical reactions with our roller materials and examine their compatibility with our fountain solutions and blankets.
Over 3,000 new materials for rollers per year are developed and tested this way. 300 of them are taken the next level. Approximately 30 of them are then fully developed to meet the high standards our customers demand before they are released to the market.
The formulations for our printing chemicals are developed in close coordination with the press manufacturers and certified for use by Fogra*. BöttcherTop printing blankets are built to our own exacting specifications and brought to market maturity in sophisticated test procedures.
In all that we do, there is a constant interchange of views and experience with the users of our products in order that we can meet our own standards and make a substantial, lasting contribution to our customers’ success with an outstanding product.
